Medical Volunteer Program

Medical volunteer application

Thank you for your interest in the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K Medical Volunteer Program.  Medical volunteers are a vital part of the Chicago Marathon, lending support to thousands of runners on race day.

The medical volunteer program consists of Medical Services, Medical Logistics, Medical Response, and Medical Patient Tracking.  Our medical committee represents each of these areas during the event and throughout the year to map out staffing and equipment needs so that race day operations run smoothly.

Please note: Only Illinois-licensed medical professionals may serve in clinical roles on race day, due to the event’s malpractice insurance contract.

* Medical volunteer registration will open in early February. When it does, the button below will be actived.  Thank you for your interest.
