Big Ten Network Big 10K volunteers
The BTN Big 10K is an annual race celebrating the Big Ten Conference! Volunteers provide support to thousands of participants as they run the 10K or 5K race and kick off the college football season at the post-race Fan Fest.
All volunteers will receive a “BTN Fan” t-shirt and are required to register online by Wednesday, August 8.
Packet pick-up will be held Thursday, August 9 – Saturday, August 11 at Road Runner Sports, located at 1435 North Kingsbury Street.

The 10K and 5K race start line, finish line and post-race Fan Fest will be located at Soldier Field on Sunday, August 12. Click on a position below to register.
- Start Corrals – 4:30 a.m. – 9 a.m.
- Course Marshals – 5:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
- Fan Fest Activities – 6:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Can you recruit a group of 20 or more volunteers? Aid Stations and other exclusive volunteer positions are reserved for groups like yours! Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your group name and estimated quantity of volunteers to learn more.
Non-profit groups, clubs and organizations may be eligible for a volunteer group donation.
