Medical volunteer program
Thank you for your interest in the Bank of America Chicago Marathon Medical Volunteer Program. Medical volunteers are a vital part of the Chicago Marathon, lending support to thousands of runners on race day.
The medical volunteer application for the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon is now open—we hope you will consider joining our talented team of medical volunteers on Sunday, October 7, 2018. We are seeking the volunteers for the Medical Program in the following areas:
- Attending Physician
- EMS: Paramedics and Basics
- Lab Technician
- Physician’s Assistant
As a medical volunteer, you will work from approximately 5:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and the event will provide you with a medical volunteer uniform, credential and a light breakfast. Please click on the button below to access our volunteer application system. Be sure to review our medical volunteer guidelines before applying to volunteer for our event.
Medical Program volunteers apply to work in medical facilities in Grant Park, along the race course, or at the finish line. Patient care and safety come before all other considerations; whereas the Medical Committee strives to honor positions requested during the registration process, the committee determines all final volunteer assignments based on the training and background of our individual volunteers and the medical needs of the event.
